The canner features a porcelain surface with a durable steel core that provides excellent heat distribution, reducing heat-up time and saving energy. This canner is perfect for preserving fruits, pickles, relishes, jams, jellies, marmalades, and salsa. It will hold up to seven quart jars, nine pint jars, or 12 one-half pint jars. Unfortunately, we don?t recommend this canner for glass cooktops as some do not generate enough heat to safely can, but it is safe to use on all other heat sources.
